Community members with strong governance participation can become delegates. Delegates represent other token holders by voting on proposals and providing governance research. There are three tiers, each with greater requirements and responsibilities.
Three Levels of Delegates
Junior Delegate: Entry-level, focused on community participation.
Delegate: Deeper involvement, including proposal creation.
Super Delegate: A leadership role with protocol oversight.
Becoming a Junior Delegate
Junior Delegates are community members who actively participate in governance discussions and voting.
Step 1: Prepare your pitch. Write a Delegation Pitch that includes:
Your introduction
Your vision for Moonwell governance
Your decision-making framework (how you'll vote)
Why people should delegate to you
Step 2: Meet the requirements. Before posting your pitch, make sure you meet these requirements:
Read all Moonwell documentation
Created 10 or more forum replies
Created 1 or more forum post
Have 50,000 or more WELL delegated to yourself

Go to the Moonwell Governance Forum.
Navigate to the Delegation Pitch category.
Post your pitch.
When you meet all requirements, a green dot appears on your pitch title.
Junior Delegate Responsibilities
Once you're a Junior Delegate, you must:
Comment on active proposals
Vote on 80% or more of proposals each month
Join monthly governance calls
Participate in Discord governance channels
Becoming a Delegate
Delegates create and submit Snapshot proposals and provide governance research to the community.
Requirements
To become a Delegate, you must:
Have 200,000 or more WELL delegated to yourself
Submit a successful Snapshot proposal
Pass the Delegate Quiz
Have a yellow dot on your pitch

Delegates do everything Junior Delegates do, plus:
Submit Snapshot proposals
Provide governance research on topics important to the protocol
Becoming a Super Delegate
Super Delegates are governance leaders. They enforce governance standards and help ensure proposals meet quality requirements.
Requirements
To become a Super Delegate, you must:
Be nominated by an existing Super Delegate
Have 1,000,000 or more WELL delegated to yourself
Submit a successful onchain MIP (Moonwell Improvement Proposal)
Complete KYC verification with the Moonwell Foundation
Pass the Super Delegate Quiz
Have a blue dot on your pitch
Super Delegates are limited to a maximum of five total.
Super Delegate Responsibilities
Super Delegates do everything Delegates do, plus:
Moderate the Moonwell Governance Forum
Ensure proposals meet governance standards
Review the contributions and participation of other delegates
Super Delegate Compensation
Super Delegates receive a monthly stipend of $1,000 USDC from the Moonwell Foundation.
