Auto Load for Your Moonwell Card

What Is Auto Load?

Auto Load automatically refills your card when the balance drops below a threshold you set. Instead of manually loading USDC each time, your card stays funded on its own.

Auto Load draws funds from the Moonwell Flagship USDC Vault, where your USDC earns yield while it waits to be used.

Why Use Auto Load?

It solves two problems at once: your card never runs dry mid-purchase, and the USDC you set aside for spending keeps earning yield until the moment it's needed, rather than sitting idle on the card.

Benefits of Auto Load

  • Never run out of funds: Your card automatically refills when it gets low.

  • Earn yield: Your USDC sits in the Flagship Vault earning returns until it's needed.

  • Set it and forget it: Once enabled, Auto Load runs automatically.

  • Full control: Pause or disable Auto Load anytime.

How to Set Up Auto Load

Step 1: Deposit to the vault. First, deposit USDC to the Moonwell Flagship USDC Vault, where your funds earn yield while they wait. You can deposit as much as you like. Think of it as a reserve for your card.

Step 2: Enable Auto Load. Go to the Card page in the Moonwell app and enable Auto Load.

Step 3: Set your minimum balance. Choose the balance that triggers a reload. For example, if you set it to $100, Auto Load activates when your card drops below $100.

Step 4: Set your reload amount. Decide how much USDC to load each time Auto Load activates. For example, you might reload $500 when the trigger is hit.

How It Works

When your card balance falls below your minimum threshold, Auto Load:

  1. Automatically withdraws from your Flagship USDC Vault.

  2. Loads the amount you set to your card.

  3. Runs again only when your card balance drops below the threshold.

This repeats until you disable Auto Load or run out of funds in your vault.

Managing Auto Load

You can pause Auto Load anytime from the Card page. This stops automatic reloads without disabling the feature.

To disable Auto Load completely, turn it off from the same menu.

To update your threshold or reload amount, go to Auto Load settings and make your changes.

Need Help?

For any card loading issues, support queries should be directed to the card provider, Cypher. You can get in contact with their support team from their website.

What if My Vault Is Empty?

If your vault has no USDC, Auto Load can't refill your card. Deposit more USDC to your vault to continue automatic reloading.
