Before you can start using Moonwell, you need some crypto in your wallet. The Fund Wallet feature makes this simple: you can buy crypto directly or bridge it in from another network.

About Fund Wallet
Fund Wallet is powered by Thirdweb's Universal Bridge. You can buy crypto with a card or bank transfer, or move crypto you already hold on other chains.
Two Ways to Fund Your Wallet
Which one you choose depends on where you're starting from.
Buy Crypto with Fiat
Best if you don't hold any crypto yet. Buy directly with a credit card, bank transfer, or other payment method. Your local currency is converted to crypto and sent to your wallet.
Bridge From Another Network
Best if you already hold crypto on another blockchain. Bridge it to one of Moonwell's networks. Bridging moves your crypto from one chain to another.
Important Things to Know
Fees apply. Buying or bridging involves fees. Associated fees are shown before you confirm any transaction.
Timing varies. Buying is usually quick (minutes to hours). Bridging between blockchains can take longer (10 minutes to a few hours), depending on network congestion.
Your address stays the same. Your wallet address is identical across all Moonwell networks, but you still need to bridge or send crypto to the specific network you want to use.
Start small. New to bridging? Try a small amount first to get comfortable with the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need crypto already to use Fund Wallet?
No. The Buy option lets you start with everyday money. The Bridge option is for crypto you already hold elsewhere.
Which network should I fund?
Fund the network you plan to use. If you're undecided, Base is a common starting point thanks to low fees. (See Supported Networks.)
Why is my bridge taking a while?
Bridging time depends on the source network and congestion. If it's well past the estimated time, check the transaction in your wallet or ask in the Moonwell Discord.
Already have USDC on another chain?
You can also move USDC into Moonwell on Base directly through USDC Anywhere.
